Post Body

Greetings,

In the hopes of furthering goodwill and discussion on these boards one of you tapped me on the shoulder to devise a way to help new members find groups of some renown to pair up with after joining the for the first time.

I think by adding a wiki entry that can be expanded upon by the group's leader would help to alleviate a bit of the existential angst a new player is bound to feel as they approach the 'Whose in charge, how do I, what, hello can anyone hear me (no one's in chat range!)?' questions. I'm sure we all could elaborate upon those frustrations in more detail. PMing new members while courteous is a time consuming process and cannot be relied upon to cover the breadth of new players arriving.

In an effort to keep the momentum and spirit of the game moving forward we need to develop better ways of relaying information, that is why I activated the wiki.

I'll also be providing a shortlink in the new player's guide to the wiki where they will be able to get a synopsis of active groups who are recruiting. By the by, members who outreach to new players need only provide said shortlink to the wiki that holds their groups listing, too.

If you are the leader of a group I will need to confirm your status through a weird method I've devised in short order. This process can be initiated by getting another group's leader to recognize your leadership/sovereignty/repute, with several members posting a reply affirming your position likewise.

I will have to organize the sections accordingly: diplomatic relations, laws and bylaws, treaties, oaths and any other nation/culture symbolism, territorial claims, etc., and whatever else the leaders find pertinent to their group. The content will change depending on what kind of association the group is which can vary in scope (not every group has to be a nation-state).

Sidenote:

If you are interested in being an assistant in this process or love organizing information and updating wikis, let me know. I have a special place in my heart and on the editorial side of things.

Remember:

If you have the ability to add flair, please place your in-game name next to your reddit name so it reads, IGN: Playername, before you post in this thread to confirm your group as a leader, diplomatically vouch for another group, or if you are apart of said leader's group. Replies that do not have flair won't be included as this is supposed to be a formal review..

This will also help others find and navigate this thread quickly. Please send me a message if your flair isn't working including a quick reference to your IGN for me, thanks.

For leaders to officiate their group for admission

  • Official group name including all titles associated with it:
  • Primary region/location/continent/city/settlement/plane (choose one or your own) of influence: [This doesn't have to be disclosed if it is a matter of security. Ambiguity is encouraged in that case!]

For leaders vouching for another group's repute/notoriety

  • List one diplomatic interaction, positive or negative, doesn't matter.
  • Official group name including all titles associated with it:

For members of groups recognizing their leadership de jure:

  • Please include a candid reply vouching the merit of said leader.
