I would like to start off by thanking each and everyone of you who have made intellectual and financial contributions to CivRealms during these early ground breaking days of the server.

When I look at all that has happened in such a short period of time I stand amazed at what a small group of people can do when they unite to make their dreams a reality. As many of you know this all started with an idea. Now less then one month later we have a growing server that many people enjoy.

We are seeing some truly amazing contributions from several individuals from within our player base. In addition we have also been able to form a really creative and innovative dev team, that produces.

Not only are our devs working on the epic that is the Dominion Plugin but for some time now they have been cranking out custom plugins and fixes that are helping us to secure a strong foundation for future growth.

I want to let all of you know that your admin team and dev team are committed to you and the continued success of this server. Anything worth while is worth fighting for and with success comes opposition. We are all experiencing this right now with the recent ddos attacks on our server.

When we were first deciding to start this project we had some choices to make. After getting a solid discount on a larger server package we decided to put our best foot forward and work like crazy. There is a higher demand on our time as admins because of this but the challenge has taken us to where we are today.

We are a young server making a bold push. God willing CivRealms will continue to be a success as long as we continue to work towards the same goal.

Our monthly budget has been $250 of which we have raised a total of $300 thus far. The ddos mitigation will increase our monthly budget to a total of $350 per month. We can easily do this with your help.

In the long run we will end up saving more money and capturing more momentum with our current package by providing a top notch lag free environment for our community.

While some servers may have a benevolent benefactor to provide these services we do not. What we have is each-other and together we can continue to make the CivRealms dream a reality.
