You must formally agree to all the following rules before gaining membership to Vanguard. Agreement to these rules must be documented as a reply to this post. You become a member of Vanguard immediately upon agreeing to these rules. Membership may be relinquished or revoked at any time.
Before you become a member:
All accounts must be clear of all standing claims on /r/civcraft. If claims stand, you will be evaluated before you are approved membership.
As a member you must:
Defend Vanguard vaults, bunkers, and other members (play-time and ability allowing).
As a member of Vanguard you may not:
Disclose any confidential information regarding Vanguard to non-members. This includes bunker locations, snitch coordinates, long-term goals, and short-term plans. This list is not exclusive and is subject to change.
Engage in any conflict (representing Vanguard) without Vanguard approval. If you act in a way that discredits Vanguard in anyway, you may be removed.
Pearl individuals without evidence of wrong-doing. You must be able to prove that it was more likely than not that the crime was committed.
Grief - Vanguard will be focused on pearling criminals and destroying specific infrastructure supporting them. The destruction of random property will not be tolerated.
Any member consistently using racist or homophobic language or building racist or homophobic structures will be removed from Vanguard.
As a member of Vanguard you are entitled to:
Use and access bunkers, bastions, and defenses located around the Vanguard vault, and various other locations around the map. You will be granted membership permissions to these groups. Access to bunkers and the vault room is strictly limited to Vanguard members.
Any combat gear or materials deemed necessary to carry out your obligations as a member of Vanguard. This includes (but is not limited to) the provision of Prot4, weapons, potions, and XP free of charge.
If you break the rules or act in a way unbecoming of a Vanguard member:
You will lose membership and all membership rights.
You will be held liable for any resulting damages and pursued for reparations or end time.
You must return any Vanguard resources in your possession.
Other things to think about
How to deal with other nations laws, and foreign conflict
(This is the most important as it determines if we are World Police or not)
If a criminal were to take refuge in a town, do we go capture them or abide by that towns laws?
How do we decide what conflicts we get involved in? Do we vote? If it's a conflict that certain members don't want to involve themselves with, do they have to fight in it?
Leadership
I am really keen about having fights be commanded by a certain person based on location. So for example, if a fight were to happen in New Danzilona I, or JPEGz would lead as we know the area best.
Also, for things outside of pvp, who would decide when to kick someone out of vanguard? Would we vote, or will one person or a council have that authority
Kind of a miscellaneous idea, but I like the idea of having segmented bunkers. As in, only certain people have access to pot supplies, and large amounts of xp within a bunker. This is to stop people from stealing xp, and stop a spy from freeing a pearl (like ImSal at playpen)
A court
I think we should have our own court system. I'm not sure how to do it, but if someone is willing we should write up some stuff for a court.
