World's End Deal. I'm trying to draft a peace treaty with Libertas to move all their pearls to third party vaults and then also getting them to come collaborate on World's End. Why would they help us make a new vault if they are planning on breaking it? It could be a definite end to the war.
CivcraftUN - Working with Hobbyist to make a discussion platform for smaller towns paired with a security council that will be made up of mostly members/cities of this subreddit. The council will decide on international defense matters and defend two or three vaults that will mainly hold international. As an incentive Hobbyist will be gathering a donation of 10k-20k to fund assaults and defenses. Additionally, I'll be working with a number of these smaller towns to donate an additional 300-400d towards the creation of a bunker (that I build and that they own the groups for) that will act as forward operating bases for both bounty hunters as well as points to launch attacks on entrenched positions outside of towns. In addition snitch networks that they can maintain.
Collaboration - We have a number of individuals that we have evidence against of collaborating. I've been messaging them privately to ask for an essentially voluntary additional payment on top of their reps. This payment will be approximately 1.5x whatever amount they gave in value to the criminal group they supported.
This is for a number of reasons.
Firstly, it's almost impossible to actually catch people who collaborated. A lot of the folks who did during the Titan war did so and then felt bad about it afterwards. They'd like to get a clean slate, but often can't because they fear getting permapearled. Additionally, Papa has dirt on them and can turn on them. It's pressure I don't want anyone to have to live under.
A lot of the collaborators are people we've come to actually like. People who we've decided not to permapearl anyways.
A lot of the collaborators were doing so for more political reasons this time around than simply wanting to cause harm on the server. They were misled, yes, but still had a reasoning that wasn't purely malicious.
We need funds for future defense, this is an easy way to do it.
By switching collaboration from a criminal offense (which we barely ever catch) to a civil offense, we give the server the ability to essentially disagree with us. It's a good check and balance that a, helps us when we're in the right, and b, prevents us from going to the wrong.
I've already gotten a number of the collaborators to agree to the pay and we're currently at 1500d in the warchest for future conflict. Thoughts on this?
