Eventually, relations between Ganthia and Spardshock grew to such an extent that Formicidae spear-soldiers started enlisting into the Ganthian army.

New Unique Unit (Classical 1/2): Formicidae spear-soldier: Heavily-armored spear-wielders who excel at fighting in phalanxes (tight formations of ten soldiers each) and utilizing tactics (following orders specifying a given type of battle tactic) in battle. They have grown used to fighting in hills and mountains, and are more effective in these regions, but they tend to get bogged down in marshy areas and cannot fight in extreme cold. Whereas only male Ganthians are part of the nation’s army, both male and female Formicidae fight together. All Formicidae in the Ganthian army (10% of the army) fight as spear-soldiers.
