brewery changelog because the admins didn't post one
Post Body

CivMC Brewery Config Update 1.1:

  • Minimum ferment duration from 1 to 2
  • Replaced all instances of tall grass with flowers (hops are peonies, herbs are various other flowers)
  • Replaced all instances of large ferns (again, mostly with tall and short flowers)
  • Certain recipes are now harder or use more ingredients to stop overlap with easier recipes (e.g. cherry liqueur and ginjinha overlapping)
  • Fixed food not giving you saturation
    • (bug: saturation is applied instantly like a heal or instant damage effect, so we have to work around that)
  • Foods now slow more severely to prevent combat use
  • Increase alcohol content of PvP potions by an average of 20%
  • Increase the hunger caused by caffeinated drinks
  • Increase length of effects provided by certain juices and drinks to make them no longer strictly worse than non alcoholic options
  • Lowered the difficulty of some moderate complexity brews
  • Add the final 60 brews left out due to time issues, bringing the total to 300
    • 20 brews are easy recipes that will not be hinted at to encourage experimentation, ranging from everything from Papaya Schnapps to Marmite
    • 20 brews are ones from the shortlist that did not make the cut last time, from Pridelands Mead to Molomalt
    • 20 brews are named after admins, contributors and developers. These range from admins Wing and Sound to previous admins and developers like ttk2 and rourke, and community legends like Gjum, Awoo, and several more.
  • Fix ferments showing up as the wrong type
  • Fix intermediate products showing up as generic water
  • Fix ferments looking like final products
  • Fix ingredients being eaten with no ferment created
  • NOT FIXED: Items in your offhand will still be eaten by cauldrons
  • Emeralds require you to place a non-brewable item (e.g. stone) in your offhand to be placed into a cauldron; we are investigating
  • NEW BREWS: If your national brew previously used tall grass or large ferns, please reach out to me for your new hints.
    • Due to overwhelming requests for brews, please do not be disappointed if yours has not made it in.
