Three weeks ago our good friend and compatriot Carter_t23 was banned off Civ_mc for “opening up and continuing discussion on topics not appropriate for a 13 year old audience.” Due to the nature of the ban we won’t go into extreme detail.

The jist is that in the “debate” channel people asked Carter about Old Testament topics. He had a civil discussion about these from a Catholic viewpoint and woke up banned. To be clear his opinions are consistent with Catholic (and many mainline Protestant) views so he wasn’t espousing extremist rhetoric.

Now whether or not you think Carter should be banned isn’t our issue. Our problem is that 3 weeks later he still haven’t been given a ban length or sentencing, despite the administration stating that they would get back to him on a ban length.

Carter messaged them the day of his ban, believing it to be false. Carter messaged back and forth trying to appeal but the admins didn’t see things his way. They said “we are discussing your ban sentence and will update you when we decide.” Three weeks later and no decision has been made and Carter has been ignored whilst trying to reach out.

We understand if the admins need to take time to make up their minds on a length but three weeks seems extreme.
