I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, but Icenia/The SEC lost the war.

• I’m most likely permapearled.
• In large measure I feel like I let my community down.
• In large measure, I feel like the server has changed for the worse perhaps.

I founded Icenia in 2014 or so when I was sophomore in high school. I am now a 25 year old dude about to be engaged and with a career I love. So, Icenia and it’s community has grown alongside me for the past decade.

With that said, I absolutely despise to see what has occurred over the past month. We spent so much time rebuilding after the unhinged attacks upon us during the Generic War and now the citizens of Icenia have decided to rebuild again, enter negotiations, and continue to exist on this server as a political entity.

There will undoubtably be more information on what this looks like as negotiations continue. As to my role in it, that’s to be determined. For right now, Shadno, Kingstel, Gjum, Orinari, etc are all in my corner speaking for the state.

Regardless of what occurs, I want to extend a massive thanks to all Icenians and individuals like Shadysause, S4NTA, and JKH who have also grown alongside me, stood up for Icenia in the face of overwhelming resistance, in the case of the later since 2.0, and helped out during this most recent war. If I end up leaving this server alongside S4NTA, I’d be honored. He’s a great man in every sense of the word and I respect him and JKH as much as I do people like Enforcer and Adeadhead.

That’s all I can say for now. God bless Icenia. I’ve had 8 great years, a lot of friendships, and an astounding community created that I adore. I couldn’t ask for more.
