I apologize folks, I was with my girlfriend and dog today—and drank a few beers. Of course, I didn’t get drunk…because I had to drive home.

A few months ago, Juniortide and I had a discussion about house parties. We were sick of drunken shenanigans on the server resulting in increased tensions between nations. This had occurred around the time I kicked Truck from Icenia for his shenanigans in Yoahtl.

Basically the crux of the conversation went something like this: if someone gets blackout at your party and throws up all over the floor, why would you invite them back?

I was blacklisted from a house in college for this exact reason. I got piss drunk is a basement, crossfaded with my RAs girlfriend, got vertigo, threw up all over myself, cut myself on glass so had blood all over me, and ended up having to puke my guts out at a hospital.

I essentially lost all my friends over this incident because I refused to admit fault—and proceeded to drink the next week.

Again, this resulted in a well deserved blacklist. I was unpredictable as hell during that time in my life. Why would someone want me at their party, even if the incident wasn’t indicative of my broader personality when sober?

So, how does that relate to Civ?

Why would I, as an alliance leader, invite Wilson and crew back into my nation after their people shit, threw up, and bled on the floor?

Thus, the ban began. The deal was that Wilson’s people would be banned from the SEC and our people would be banned from Gang Shi. We would trade pearls if the rule was violated.

This, of course, did not prevent FastestGrass from re-entering Icenian territory several times, placing snitches, and fucking with our Nether portal.

This, of course, did not prevent Gang Shi last night from going to an iceroad and obby bombing it during negotiations over the pearling of a Yoahtlan for no apparent reason other than wanting to get even over FastestGrass serving a week long pearl sentence over attempting to break bastions at Whole Foods due to another short pearl sentence of another player.

Truly astounding shit that’s not only the virtual equivalent of throwing up on the floor, but doing it again to prove a point that you can throw up the most out of all the drunk motherfuckers at the party. None of the hosts are laughing, they’re just fucking annoyed beyond belief and about to kick your ass.

That’s the point that the SEC found themselves at yesterday, and now we’re throwing the people out the door of our house. We’re sick of it.

That’s why the SEC is at war with Gang Shi. These are totally unserious people. It may have taken us a while to reach that conclusion, but my red line was Yoahtl and that red line was crossed. I’m a man of my word.
