I think we all agree when I say that didn't go our way at all. Our gear, while good enough to deal with the day-to-day griefers, was obviously not par with those that attacked us. Our pvp abilities are also lacking.
However, I did see a few things that we did really well:
*As soon as L0st raised the alarm, everyone was in their best gear in seconds. Ready to roll.
*When they entered town, no one ran away. Everyone jumped in to help each other fight.
*Even after being defeated, no one rage quit or bitched and moaned. This is the most important point, actually. Half of being a strong community is attitude -- as is half of fighting a battle. If we continue to keep our chins up and noses to the grindstone, what we lost can be replaced in a matter of a day or two.
So, since people have asked me "what now?" many times over the last couple hours, this is what I think we should do:
Have parties on CivPvP and kick the shit out of each other (while honing our skills).
Gather some more exp (this is a given).
Do away with shit enchants. I know that I've been remiss in this, since I've passed out most of the enchanted armor myself, but it's going to stop. Please don't bother enchanting any of your gear unless you're level 30 (practice on CivPvP if you're wearing prot IV you wouldn't want to lose THAT in a raid, would you?).
In regards to the perps, I've been in contact with nearly all of the surrounding cities and they're willing to help make sure these guys get pearled. The city has also dipped into the coffers to put a 100d bounty on each one of them.
In closing, yeah, it sucks dick to have our asses handed to us like that. We all know it. Lets all work together to makes sure it doesn't happen again.
