We, Charles, by the Grace of God, King of Arles, Naples, Jerusalem, and Bohemia; Duke of Lorraine and Bar; Count of Provence, Forcalquier, and Salona; Arch-Cupbearer of the Holy Roman Empire, Sovereign of the Sacred Military Order of Saint Longinus and the Holy Lance, etc., etc., hereby create and elevate the following titles of nobility:

• In recognition of its regal status as the sole extant direct descendent of the Kingdom of Lotharingia, the Duchy of Lorraine is U N I L A T E R A L L Y elevated to an Archduchy.

• In the Kingdom of Arles, the County of Provence is elevated to a Grand Duchy.

• In the Kingdom of Arles, the County of Savoy is elevated to a Duchy.

• In the Archduchy of Lorraine, the County of Vaudémont is elevated to a Principality.

• In the Duchy of Savoy, the Lordship of Piedmont is elevated to a Principality.

• In the Kingdom of Arles, the Principality of Monaco is created from the city of Monaco and the surrounding lands.

Furthermore, our brother Frederick, by the Grace of God, King of Aragon, Valencia, Majorca, and Sardinia and Corsica, Prince of Catalonia and Achaea, Duke of Athens and Neopatras, Count of Barcelona, etc., etc., hereby creates the following titles of nobility:

• The Principality of Achaea, the Duchy of Athens, the Duchy of Neopatras, and the County of Salona are united to form the Kingdom and Despotate of Corinth.

• In the Kingdom of Sardinia and Corsica, the Grand Duchy of Arborea is created from the former lands of the Judicate of Arborea.

• In the Kingdom of Corinth, the Duchy of Sparta is created from the city of Sparta and the region of Laconia.

• In the Kingdom of Sardinia and Corsica, the Duchy of Calvi is created from the city of Calvi and the island of Corsica.

The titles hereby elevated are to maintain in the possession of their current holders. Of the newly created titles, the Kingdom and Despotate of Corinth is assumed by the current Prince of Achaea and his lawful heirs and successors, the Principality of Monaco is granted to the heir to the Kingdom of Arles, the Grand Duchy of Arborea is granted to the heir to the Kingdom of Sardinia and Corsica, the Duchy of Sparta be granted to the heir to the Kingdom of Corinth, and the Duchy of Calvi is granted to Borja Vidal and his lawful heirs and successors.
