It has come to our attention that a petty consortium of spiteful princes has declared their intent to violate Imperial peace by wantonly invading one of their fellow Imperial states without lawful cause. The members of this "Deventer Compact" have demanded, by force of arms, that the County of Holland change their own internal succession laws and regency laws to the sole benefit of one of the relations of the ringleader of the Compact.

Moreover, these conspiratorial warmongers have slanderously accused the regent of Holland, the good Duke Albrecht I of Bavaria, of crimes committed not by him, and which he has repeatedly and unequivocally pledged to reverse as soon as he's able.

This brazen infringement of the sovereign right of Imperial princes to determine their own succession and regency laws free from outside coercion cannot be allowed to stand! This open threat to outright invade a fellow state of the Empire is a threat to unlawfully invade further states in the future! These slanderous lies and active hostility to Imperial peace, to justice, to the rights of their fellow states, and to all of Christendom itself must be decisively stopped!

The Duchies of Lorraine and Bar hereby condemn and denounce these slanderous warmongers, their cronies, and their acts against this Empire!

We hereby call upon all legitimate and righteous states of the Empire to join in our condemnation and denunciation of these enemies of the Empire!
