We are a nation at war. The Brazilian terrorists continues to coldly murder our brave troops in the field, and their perfidious leaders plot and scheme to see our freedom, our democracy – our very way of life – destroyed. The other nations expand and grow their militaries, and slink at our borders, ravenously waiting for an opportunity – any opportunity – to invade our country, pillage our homes, and butcher our people.

Pan-America, however, will not idly stand by as these threats emerge and grow. We are a nation of fighters, of winners. But to outmanoeuvre all of these threats, to survive and prosper, with our liberty and lives intact, we need strong, experienced, and dedicated leadership. We need leaders willing to do what it takes to defend our country and defeat our enemies. Leaders with the knowledge and experience to do so.

We need Admiral Quijas and Minister Thomas Jefferson.

Proven battlefield commanders, strategic thinkers, and political realists, and dedicated to the inviolable principles of freedom and democracy, Quijas and Jefferson are the only candidates willing and able to defend your freedoms. Our plan on the battlefield is simple: destroy our enemies with all the might of the Union's brave fighting men and women. But our plans in the murkier field of civil politics bears some explanation – you want a prosperous economy, the best education and opportunities for your families, an efficient and effective government, and strong position on the global stage, and we're going to tell you how we will achieve all that for you.

Immediately after defeating the Brazilian menace, our priorities will be on bringing the whole of the Americas into the Union, and on establishing the States of the Union – these fundamental elements of Pan-American governance and society are sorely missing, and you deserve leadership who will make them become realities. Furthermore, we shall look beyond the Atlantic and Pacific Seas, to friendly partners willing to join the Union, unclaimed land waiting to be settled, and tinpot despots needing to be overthrown, and use them to expand Pan-American influence, prosperity, and freedom far and wide.

However, foreign and intergovernmental affairs are not all that we shall do for you: the federal government of the Union is rife with inefficiencies, democratic deficits, and waste. You deserve better. To keep your Senators on-track and working for you, a Deputy Speaker position will be created, to aid the Speaker and to fill-in for the Speaker when the Speaker is away. To correct the shabby state of the Supreme Court, a second Puisne Justice shall be appointed, bringing the Court to three members – no longer shall we have dreaded 1-1 cases deciding nothing. The anomalous state of the President's Senate voting rights, stripped from the noble office by a rash act before our democracy was fully established, shall be remedied.

In the executive branch, the Ministry of the Interior – currently responsible for both internal security and policing, and for infrastructure and land management – shall be split in two: a new Ministry of Public Works shall handle transportation, infrastructure, and stewardship of public lands, while a Ministry of Homeland Security will handle federal law enforcement, counterintelligence, and border control. No longer shall one ministry have two oddly unrelated missions; instead, each mission shall get the attention and support it deserves, under a separate, dedicated ministry. The structure and status of the Ministry of War, the Commander-in-Chief, the service branches, and other military elements will be reviewed and reworked, in one, unified piece of legislation, to ensure a clear, effective, and democratically-responsible command and control structure.

All of this and more is what you deserve. It's what your children and your children's children deserve. And it's what Quijas and Jefferson can – and will – do for you.
