Accursed Emeralds: Several of your people have uncovered caches of sparkly, translucent green rocks near the outskirts of whatever your capital's called, while sowing their fields on chopping down trees or whatever it is the peasants do. However, the first man who laid his hands on one of these green rocks was but a few minutes later struck dead in a freak lightning storm. Your people are scared, convinced that these green rocks are a demonic curse, or some other type of curse appropriate to your people's local mythological traditions.

  • Option 1: Get these abominable rocks away from me! Smash them, throw them into the sea, bury them under the ground! This curse shall not smite us!

  • Option 2: Apparently these green rocks are considered quite valuable by the primitive tribes that dot the countryside. We could stand to embiggen our treasury quite a bit by selling these shiny stones away.

  • Option 3: Cursed stones? What heresy is this! These stones are the opposite of cursed: they are a gift from the gods above! We must hoard all these stones in a great reliquary, and surely the gods will smile upon us.

  • Option 4: Cursed stones? Holy stones? What superstitious nonsense! These stones are merely what they appear to be: shiny pretty rocks. They will make fine adornments to the crowns, sceptres, and thrones of our great rulers. We shall dab on dirty peasants and foreigners alike with our superior fashion.
