The Man from Foreign Lands
Post Body

Mob sat relaxed atop his manor's patio, shining his sword as he watched the pink blossoms sail gracefully to the lush grass. Japan truly was a beautiful country, with every part of the nature morphing into a mirage of soft pinks and greens, everything in it's right place. Mob breathed in the air as the humming of bees contentedly washed around the garden.

He had never seen such beautiful places since he left his own home so long ago. He smiled as he remember the joyful children running into the outstretched arms of their parents, and as the navy of the land sailed through the grand port. Mob knew it as if it happened yesterday, but he remembered that everyone seemed happy. Everyone was content.

Then one day, as he was sailing back to his lands on a recruitment of ships he recently inherited, he saw on the horizon a disgusting vision. The city he loved, the place he grew up and defended, bombarded by enemy trebuchets. No, not enemies. His own allies. Mob cursed as he saw flashes of horses and hordes. The palace that looked over the city stood above the burning embers, and citizens, still smiling, being hacked to the ground.

Mob shook these thoughts from his head, but he couldn't escape the wretched feeling of death. He felt as if part of him died that day, as if he both died and survived, bleeding on the beach and yet escaping for a better land. He remembered his promise that he would make his new home better than he ever did with his old, dying land. He needed to protect Japan from war and strife.

He needed to make sure his people are happy.
