The Governor General's (GG for short, geddit? Alternatively he can be called "Viceroy" or just "Governor") responsibility are whatever my responsibilities are while I'm absent, which is usually most of the time.
What were my basic responsibilities:
Serves as a fair arbiter and judge when there is conflict in The Commonwealth
Rubber-stamps new boroughs, usually under the general support of the Lords and MPs
Tries to maintain amiable and peaceful relationships with other Nations and City-States on the server.
Figure out ways to grow the Nation and ways to make it a better place.
Appoints/removes Lords (within reason), can give out positions with specific resonsibilities, and Runs Elections
Whatever else that doesn't infringe on rights and responsibilities of other people in the Commonwealth, really
Basically in my absence, Sanwi is in charge of the above. If I'm present, Sanwi is still probably your go-to guy, since I don't like having responsibilities (nor can have any responsibilities) beyond just settling newfriends, building plots wherever I'm allowed, and just building.
If Sanwi isn't present for a prolonged period while I am, then I'll fill in.
I'll retain the title King because I reserve the right to replace him with someone else, which only really happens when Governor Generals go sour, which GG Sanwi won't.
Also, it should go without saying that he still retains his position as Lord of Shopside.
Cheers,
sashimii
