Hello Commonwealthers,

With the Commonwealth attempting to become more politically active, many have voiced that they would like to see a Commonwealth Police Department (CWPD or perhaps CPD) to formalize our pearling and rights of citizens and non-citizens pearled.

In addition to the simple (yet necessary, and sometimes dangerous) duties led by this new police department and its small contingent of officers, I would also like to see a Public Order and Riot Squad put in place in the case of riots, as they have occurred in the past. It would be necessary for them to make a simple protocol and try to be as nonlethal as possible. Overall, this would be a nuance of the department meant to formalize our governmental response to riots or protests that begin to spiral out of control.

In order for me to feel comfortable allowing this police department to represent the wishes of the Commonwealth Government, I would suggest that the police chief make a code of conduct, or rules of engagement for their officers. We would expect this to be upheld and that the officers would represent the Commonwealth Government.

I feel as if this Police force would be a step in the right direction as far as formalizing our government. I have already made a building that would serve as the Police Station perfectly. I ask everyone to voice their opinions on the issue and discuss in an educated manner.

With that, if this were to be accepted by citizens, I would promote Noaz12 as Police Chief because he has always served as our unofficial chief protector and has exemplified good PvP skill.
