I don't want this to come across as if I'm complaining. I'm not.
I simply want to make it clear that Carson is not my project. It is our project. I conceived the idea, I typed out a bunch of words, networked to get people together, but you guys all liked my idea, and decided to come help out. I have never claimed ownership of these ideas, and by you coming to Carson, you have as much of a stake in the project as I do.
I want to see Carson become something great. I fell in love with Civcraft during the heyday of Columbia, it was truly a special place. I've been playing video games since I was 8 years old, and never in my 15 year gaming career have I come across a gaming experience quite like that I experienced in Columbia.
Carson is supposed to be an attempt at creating Columbia 2.0. For that reason, it's imperative that each person involved in the project understand what it is. I linked you to that video because it's not only one of my favorite videos on YouTube (I implore you all to watch all of RJWeapon's videos, they're fantastic) but because that's what Carson is, or at the very least, should be. It may seem like I came up with all the ideas behind Carson myself, but that's far from the truth, I took ideas from various other cities on the server that I liked, and put the ones I thought complimented each other nicely into a neat little package.
So far, I've put a vast majority of the work into making Carson what Carson is, and what it will be. I want that to change. I'm not smart enough to be the guy making every decision. Together, we're far smarter than any single person could be, and for that reason, I'd like to see people express their autonomy and creativity. Hop on CarsonCraft and start building. Read the charter, and suggest changes to it. Come up with ideas to make Carson better than it already is. There's a lot we have to do going into 2.0, and I can try and plan out everything ahead of time (I'm working on a post right now) but I'm human, and I'll overlook many things.
