It seems like we will be at a slight disadvantage from other cities who will be building on already flattened land on the mainland whilst we will have to shift and then dig into the sea to create the foundations of our city.
To counter this I have an idea about building a port town close to the location of Carson. Which we can link up to whatever road network gets created. We can use the port town as a base to explore and collect resources and as a trading hub. Then we can go back and forth from the port to the build site happy as larry and after we're finished the port will serve as a land mark leading the way to us.
We could have a lot of fun with a port build, having boats at a dock instead of houses. In Danzig they built some amazing ships, and in Chiapas there was a uboat.
What do you think?
