In a crazy turn of events I went form being down 7-5 in the election to winning all 14 votes. Insane! I'd like to thank everyone that voted for me and Pantos and Liunet for giving me their votes.

I will be the best chancellor I can possibly be. I should be online at least once a day except around Thanksgiving. Below, I'm going to have my platform pasted along with some of the main goals I'd like to achieve while chancellor.

Platform

My main goal will be to ensure Aurora returns back to normal. We have already done an excellent job at cleaning up the SRO but I would emphasize the importance of not giving up, and keep on pushing forward despite how devastated some of us may feel.

The Nox chapter is coming to a close, but I believe in in our long standing value to stay neutral. I will continue to adhere to this value.

The main topic of my platform would be to focus on attracting newfriends. This may be difficult at the moment due to the grief but I believe that we need a better system that makes our city more inviting. First, we need legislation that would require new friends to stay in Aurora for a certain amount of time, such as a week, before being able to obtain a plot. This same idea can be applied to our citizenship regulations. I would suggest having a new resident stay in Aurora for at least a week before asking for a plot or for obtaining citizenship. Secondly, building more free apartments would be crucial for housing new residents since they would be unable to obtain plots. I know me, Higgens, and Nimajneb have plans for building a large apartment complex in the North District and more building like this will be necessary. Finally, I would encourage more advertising on /r/Civcraft to attract more people to our glorious city.

Aurora is a fantastic city, with amazing players, that I have spent my entire time on the server in. I have been here when the city was completely dead, and when we were in our golden age prior to that. I am overjoyed with our great revival, and am amazed by new players like OO. I want to continue to see this city get more active, and know that we can overcome any amount of grief and destruction and enter into a new golden age. I may not be the best leader, or the most involved player, but I want to see Aurora continue to grow stronger, and I believe I can help do so.

Main Goals

1. Clean up all the SRO and return Aurora to a normal state
2. Reform the way new players receive citizenship and plots. I would like to discuss the possibility of having a time amount a newfriend must stay in Aurora before obtaining a plot or citizenship.
3. Build more free apartments.
4. Advertise more on the main sub.
5. And to most of all have fun. I want to organize fun events like boxing in the undercity or other games.

In the Very Near Future

Within the next few days, I plan to make new appointments for Nov/Dec and make a new jobs posting. I'm also planning to post a discussion thread about how we should reform citizenship and residency laws. Last of all, I do believe we need to do a census on December 1st which isn't too far away. I want to make people aware of it now so they don't miss it and have to reapply for citizenship.
