How do most resist armor sets mitigate terrorize/confuse and debuffs?

I want to build a resist set tanker, but resist sets have huge holes that will just leave me helpless when I face the wrong enemy. On the other hand, super reflexes and shield defense just deflect endurance drain, terrorize, slows, and confuse. They also have DDR, and just work great no matter the enemy.

The only option I can see is to build ranged defense on resist sets to stop sapper drains, psi damage/CC, and slows. But without DDR it will get stripped easily anyway. Is there something else Iā€™m not seeing that will work? Electric armor can beat endurance drain and slows, but will just sit there terrorized all day, is there anything to help with that?

A hovering blaster with ranged defense is easier to play that a resist tanker, like wtf
