Maybe this is the place to ask about this.

I am using VMWARE hypervisor with citrix 7.15 LTSR cu6.

So in my gold image I have ran the vmware os optimization tool and selected the option to allow users to change background. I fixed the local group policy so its not setting a default wallpaper etc.

I log into the gold image as a normal user account and I can change my background no problem.

I promoted the image and log into citrix and now I can not change my background wallpaper.

So while logged into citrix I run "gpresult /h test.html" and look for anything involving wallpaper or background etc and there are no settings listed there. I then log into citrix studio and look at the policies. There is no policy set and even though the defaul setting for wallpaper is allow, I went ahead and set it to allow as well. Rinse repeat, same problem.

I am not sure where this setting is that is stopping users from changing their background. Anyone have a clue where I should look?
