Microsoft Teams not launching after reinstalling in Citrix Environment
Post Body

Hi Everyone,

I work for an MSP who has a customer that uses citrix desktops. Users login to thier laptops then open citrix and login to another desktop through citrix. They do all thier day to day work in these citrix VMs

Im trying to wrap my head around how a customers citrix environment is setup. It was explained to me that there is a "master" vm and there are vms that are generated based off this master VM when changes are needing to be made.

I had a ticket to investigate and disable teams from autostarting on login for thier citrix environment,

So I RDP'd into the master and reinstalled teams with the autostart false flag. OPTIONS="noAutoStart=true"

The next morning some users called to report that teams was not installed on thier citrix desktops anymore... the shorcut in thier start menu was still there but the application didnt exist. When they clicked on it nothing happened. When hovering over the shortcut a little text box came up with text pointing to the teams startup registry key "com.squirrel.teams.teams"

Im not sure why this occured becuase I just made changes to the master and I was told that nothing would change untill all the VMs are recreated based off the master image

Im also not sure how teams was initially setup either and there is litterally 0 documentation

Does anyone have any ideas what might be the best course of action here?

Thanks
