Does the game punish you for building “non American” style cities?

Post Body

I’m tempted to pick up CS1 but as a Brit I’m much more inclined to design cities based on what I know from the UK and Europe.

Can you still successfully play this game without building on a grid, using large freeways/highways (is there a difference?) and not making your city car-centric? Or would a layout like London, Paris, Munich, etc be a hindrance?

Also if there’s any YouTubers with some good series worth watching let me know. I’ve been enjoying City Planner Plays so far.
