Colossal Order did a fantastic job, and I cannot wait to see where this game is in 8 years! I'm excited to see what the modding community does to the game, and what the expansions are. I can't wait to dig in and spend some very real time with this game.
I was not expecting the development trees, those are cool as hell. The concept of Milestones and using XP to unlock development is fantastic!
The scale of things is great. The incinerator plant is now HUGE, which is perfect!
The water is beautiful. The sky is beautiful. The maps are cool as hell (and challenging...). The trees are beautiful.
The economy panel is fascinating.... the way you can set different tax rates for different types of commerce... just makes me want to know how the commercial engine works in the game, and how I can use that knowledge to my advantage. Nevermind all the different types of residential zones....
I've played the original Cities Skylines for 10,600 hours, it is one of my favorite games. Is CS:2 the same thing, the same experience? Well, no, but nor should it.
For those worried about performance, my rig has a i7-4790, 16GB RAM and an AMD RX-570, running 1440p. Its pushing my rig pretty hard and I had to reduce some graphics settings, but yeah, whatever, does not detract from the 'fun' factor for me.
Props to the dev team, I can tell they put in a ton of hard work. If y'all are ever in ATL, drinks are on me.
