No one comes out of this hospital with a foreskin.

The 5 new nurses stood in a line. 3 were female, 2 were male, I was one of the men. In front of us stood an attractive and surprisingly young doctor. Her name was Abigail Grayson. She was slender, with wavy black hair, but she spoke to us harshly.

"Welcome to your jobs at Jameson Hospital. As you read in the job description, by the end of today you will be in conformity with the standards of the staff of this hospital. You must undress now."

As we undressed I couldn't help but take a peek at the attractive female nurses, whose names were Darcy, Evalyn and April.
"I'm afraid none of you have passed" she said. "But in order to understand why, I have to explain to you the nature of this hospital. Sit down, this will take a little while."
We sat.

"Jameson hospital is pretty much your average hospital, we deviate very little from the rest of the hospitals in the country. However, we have one unique trait, and that is our universal circumcision policy. Foreskins are ugly and unclean, and they must be removed. Every boy who is born in this hospital will be circumcised. You may have to lie to his parents, perform it without their consent and make it look like an accident, sneak it into a contract, but you will circumcise every boy who is born here. If a boy under your care leaves here with his foreskin, you will be fired. Here is a pamphlet that you should give to all expectant parents. It contains information that should make them open to circumcising their sons"

She tossed us each a pamphlet. Here is what it said:
Circumcision: A Guide for New Parents
One of the biggest decisions you will make as a parent is whether to circumcise your child when they are born. This pamphlet is designed to help you make your decision. The first thing you may be asking is "what is circumcision?". When boys are born, the tip of their penis is covered by a layer of skin called the foreskin. When a boy is circumcised, the foreskin is removed, thus exposing the head or glans of the penis. It is a simple procedure that takes very little time to do and is extremely low risk. In women, the procedure is a bit more controversial. At birth, women have a layer of tissue called the labia minora, which includes the clitoral hood. In the type of circumcision performed at this hospital, the labia are trimmed back or removed, and the clitoral hood is removed, thus exposing the clitoris. African tribes and other peoples remove the clitoris along with the labia, and we want to make it very clear that this will not happen to your daughter. Female circumcision also has few complications and has many benefits, and while it is not as widespread as male circumcision, it is on the rise.
Benefits of male circumcision-
You may be asking at this point, why circumcise? Circumcision has a host of benefits, here are a few.
1. The foreskin is difficult to clean under. It accumulates a substance called smegma, which is unsanitary and has an unpleasant odor. If the foreskin is not retracted daily and washed under, smegma can cause infection and be a serious problem. When the foreskin is removed, smegma is no longer produced, and the glans is easily cleaned as there is no foreskin to retract.
2. Circumcision has been proven to protect against sexually transmitted diseases, especially AIDS. Circumcision could save your son's life, and prevent him from spreading diseases to his future partners.
3. Circumcision is preferred by women. While you may not think it's an issue now, your son will probably choose to engage in sexual intercourse at some point in his life. Recent surveys have showed that women prefer circumcised penises two to one.
4. Circumcision improves sexual function. Despite what anti-circumcision people may say, there is no proof of the sexual sensitivity of the foreskin. What is proven, however, is that circumcision exposes the glans of the penis, which is the chief pleasure center of the penis. During sexual intercourse, the glans is stimulated more when there is no foreskin covering it, and because the man does not slide in and out of his foreskin, he provides more stimulation to his sexual partner. It also delays orgasm without making it less intense, allowing a man to have intercourse for a longer time.
5. Circumcision improves the appearance of the penis. The foreskin is riddled with unattractive wrinkles and veins. Circumcision simplifies the penis to "one line", nothing is hidden, giving it a more streamlined appearance.
As for the reasons against circumcision, there really are none. The main concern is over pain, however, with proper anesthetic, the pain can be effectively eliminated. Now is a safer time then ever to be circumcised.
The reasons for female circumcision, while less publicized, are just as valid. While we don't expect you to circumcise your daughter, you should consider that
1. A circumcised vulva is easier to clean. The clitoral hood also produces smegma, and the labia produce vaginal discharge and secretions. Removing them makes the vulva much easier to wash.
2. Removal of the clitoral hood improves clitoral stimulation. There is no wonder why so many women have trouble reaching orgasm when they can't even find their chief pleasure center. By removing the clitoral hood, the clitoris is exposed, and thus is easier to access.
3. Circumcised women are generally preferred by men. While female circumcision is not yet widespread, polls indicate that most men prefer women whose inner labia are obscured by the outer labia, which is the appearance of a circumcised vulva.
4. Circumcised vulvas are aesthetically more pleasing. Female circumcision takes a mess of wrinkled tissue and removes it, simplifying the vulva to a "single crease" which is much more appealing.
Reasons not to circumcise girls are also not significant. There is no loss of sensitivity, and with anesthesia, there is no pain.

After we finished reading the packet, we looked up.

"This packet is your Bible" Dr. Grayson said. "It includes everything we believe. Now you can see why some of you don't measure up."

I looked at my peers. Indeed, most of the nurses had labia that protruded considerably. I was uncircumcised, but the other male nurse, Bill, was circumcised.

"Why do I not meet the standards" Bill asked.

"Well, you have been nicely circumcised" Dr. Grayson commented "but your pubic hair has not been removed"

"I didn't think men did that"

"Most don't, but we're trying to change that. This is another thing our hospital does. As we do checkups for teens, especially girls, we pressure them to shave their pubic hair for the reasons of sanitation and cleanliness. Of you new recruits, only Darcy and April are fully shaved. Evalyn, your patch is gonna have to go, and you men also must shave. Now, let me show you something"

Dr. Grayson disrobed to display her gorgeous body. Her pubic hair was nowhere to be found, and her tiny vulva was tucked neatly between her legs with nothing showing outside of her outer lips.

"Girls, you will all look like me when I am done with you. Boys, you just need to shave, except for you Mike" she said to me. "You will have to be circumcised"
