I'm getting married in Vegas, my favourite cigar is a Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure Especial (cuban). I ordered a few for the celebration without thinking about Cuba and America politics. I've been reading and a lot of rules seem specific for travel to and from Cuba for Americans. I understand that I can't bring cuban cigars into America from Cuba, but does this apply to Cubans purchased outside Cuba? If I have them in my bag with (or without) cuban bands will they be confiscated? I know Americans commonly purchase them from Europe and I don't see a difference, but not sure if that's technically illegal too.
