Hi all, I just did my very first lil American Spirits Celadon. Here's my impressions and an open ask for advice on how to get a more enjoyable experience going forwards.
Issues:
- Got in my eyes - When I brought it up, the wind kept pushing the trail off the cigarette into my eyes. Definitely a bit of a bummer, but I kept turning and twisting out of the way. Maybe just doing it in a better location would help that? I chose a small alleyway with a few cozy chairs
- Breath in through where??? - Ok I sucked in, but then I would breathe in through my nose and expel the smoke through my mouth. That's how I got the most enjoyable drag. When I tried to suck and then inhale through my mouth, I'd choke, so I'm assuming my initial instincts were right, to suck, inhale through nose and then exhale through mouth (thank you commenter for the help lol)
- The social pressure - Bro, I'd catch classmates (to whom know I'm not a smoker AT ALL) walking by and I'd just keep my head down and do my thing. No one told me the social aspect was going to be the hardest! Very anxiety inducing but not enough to make me quit.
- throat is kinda achy after - is this normal I keep seeing videos about people that have holes in their throat and Im scared AH
Good points:
- So Calm - that calm feeling I got after a few drags? It's like that zen state you feel after a good yoga session, or orgasming LOL, I just felt very carefree and as someone who has regular anxiety, this definitely makes me feel better.
- Hand-to-mouth habit. - I'm a chronic binge eater. This habit helped me do something that won't make me a fat ass, but still quell that urge to put something to my mouth
- Good flavor - I picked a brand that is apparently?? A cleaner mix of tobacco?? Idk but it did taste off or chemically, actually not that much flavor at all, no unpleasant cigarette smell that I didn't want to be around.
Overall: I want to have cigarettes around for very high-anxiety moments. I am well aware of the addiction risks but I'm trying to slow down, be aware of future use, and only save this pack for special moments. It makes me feel great (really nice too, I can focus more when I type this out), but I'm understanding that it can't be used all the time.
I'd love advice about the issues going forwards. Thank you! Happy smokin' :)
