So I live in Oregon, and this year our wonderful state government decided to raise the smoking age to 21 begining Jan. 1st 2018. I smoke a pack a day (when I can afford it) and I just turned 18 earlier this year, basically I got to enjoy following the law and buying my own smokes for 6 months, and Bam, "government came and took my baby" (baby being me buying my own smokes). On the mr. brightside though I live in NE portland and Washington is just a 15 minute drive over the I205 bridge, and I have a car and license (unlike most people I know my age) so looks like coming this year I'll be making frequent trips to Washington to buy my camel 99s instead of walking half a block to the plaid pantry down the street.
Tldr; I'm 18 and my state is raising the smoking age to 21 next year so I'll have to make trips to the next state over to buy my smokes.
