I've heard conflicting reports on freezing cigarettes. I live in Phoenix and just went down to Nogales, Sonora, Mexico on Friday, and I bought 3 cartons of cigarettes for under $US40 each. While I'm a heavy smoker (75% of a pack daily on average,) I've noticed that my cigarettes get stale rather quickly. I usually go to the Indian reservation every 3 weeks and buy 2 cartons at a time (cigarettes are always fresh there, even obscure brands,) due to the sheer volume they sell. By week two, my second carton (I always keep my packs unopened,) is noticeably more stale.
What should I do? I don't want the tobacco to lose flavour when thawed. I do live in an arid desert; not sure if that's a factor or not.
