It's a unique situation in Australia. Packs of 21, 22, 23 and 26 have come and gone in the last several decades as brands tried to compete for value. Both the 20 and 25 packs remain very popular today along with a smaller cohort choosing 30 and 40 packs.

Unfortunately they’re not actually. The 20 and 25 pack carton prices refer to a carton of 200 cigs (10x20 or 8x25) whereas the 30 and 40 pack cartons are often either 6x30, 4x40 or 3x40. I’m not sure exactly why this is but I believe a carton cannot be over 200 cigarettes so it is to do with rounding.
For example, the Stradbroke 40 carton is only 172.95 but that is only 120 cigarettes so not really a carton by most standards…
