I enjoyed this cigar.
The cigar appeared alright. It was uniformly firm but the wrapper did have a prominent set of veins, and the cap was a bit messy. I cut it shallow with a guillotine cutter and the cap unraveled a bit but licking it held it down and stopped it from unraveling down further. The draw was fine but on the tighter side. I paired this cigar with mocha coffee and water.
At first, the cigar was a bit leathery for my tastes, but it wasn't really earthy like many leathery cigars are. However the leathery flavored cooled down quickly to let a sweet cocoa flavor through. By the end of the first third there was also a sweetish nutty flavor, making it leathery, sweet cocoa, and mild sweetish nutty.
Around the halfway mark the sweet flavor tuned back a bit and the nutty flavor got kind of dry, but it was still alright. In the final third the flavors got weaker, and the flavors were smoky-tobacco, sweetish, leathery, dry nutty, and a bit of pepper. The cocoa flavor disappeared.
I would have smoked it down to a nub but a skunk that likes to forage through my yard came out when I had 1" left (it was getting dark) so I put it out and hurried inside. It lasted me 79 minutes. The burn line wasn't super even but it didn't get bad and it corrected itself without needing a single touch up. The ash was a bit flaky at first but it ended up being very strong. I ended up ashing it myself because it wasn't falling.
