Setting up new 70 gallon deep tank stocking ideas

Post Body

So I have a new 70 gallon tank I got, set up with a Fluval 307 filter and some rocks and bubbler. Dimensions roughly 36Wx25Hx18D.

I was trying to pick one of the cookie cutter African communities for somewhere between 55 and 75 gallons, don’t know if this is too much:

  • Electric Yellow x3
  • Yellow Tail Acei x3
  • Cuckoo catfish x2
  • Pseudotropheus Socolofi x3
  • Pseudotropheus Saulosi x3
  • Pseudotropheus Chewere Elongatus x3

I just want to make sure I’m not overdoing it or going to kill all these fish before I throw them all together in a community tank, even though some other cichlid forum shows these should be good to go in a 75g. I’m leaving off 3 of another species and 4 catfish. So technically I’m putting 7 fewer fish than the suggested 75g build.
