I was watching Critical Overlord's new YouTube video on a Chucky season 4 update and he made some very valid points that I found myself agreeing with.

I think they should go back to just making movies instead of continuing the same recycled chain of events in the form of the television series. It's always the same. Chucky kills, the core 3 get away and don't catch him.

CO went on to talk about how the franchise should continue as films and move away from the core 3 minus Lexy, who seems to be the only one with an active motive that isn't simply revenge to continue pursuing Chucky.

It seems like they're doing nothing new with Jake and Devon, just let them have their happy ending and let's focus on Caroline basically having Stockholm Syndrome and being brainwashed by Chucky and Tiffany.

She's Lexy's sister and her only remaining, living family member.

Look at how dirty Nica and the twins were done, especially Nica.

What can you even do with her? They had a great new protagonist in the form of Nica with an arguably deeper connection to Chucky than even Andy and they cut her limbs off.

CO suggested Nica and Lexy team up and become the leads of the upcoming Chucky film (though that would be difficult, considering it's allegedly a prequel).

I understand that the TV series is Jake's story but it feels like Jake's story has run its course by season 3, the whole Caroline thing seems like it was relegated to a C plot (not even a B plot) with no visible end in sight.

What are your thoughts? Do you think another season would truly bring something different to the table or do you think we should just go back to Chucky films? Who should move over to the films and what would you do with them that hasn't already been done?
