i love this entire franchise so much, i love seasons 1 and 2... but s3... it's hitting a hard spot. it feels like it picks up in the middle of a story, granted i'm sure we will get backstory. chucky feels more brutal than before. but the pattern i've seen in the last two season finales is the very last minutes leading up to the end, just giving us too much chucky. we know chucky will survive, someway, somehow. we know this. but it's as if they're spoiling all of that right away and not giving us those tiny pieces to hang on to til next season. like for example, CP3 into bride. we thought chucky was dead and gone and technically yes he was but we revived him. i'm all for last minute twists but you keep chucky a surprise. but then with the teens this season, it feels as if they're just being demoted to influencer parodies, and i cringed so hard at the coffee shop scene i couldn't stand it. and the second death of ep2 should've been something more substantial than what it was. it should've been more than just an attempted shock value i ended up feeling nothing for bc we already had a brutal death earlier that ep. we know these kids have nobody, but damn. it just felt like nothing at the end of it. i wish they would've gone to the writing board a few more times :/
