Transmission service?

I have a 2016 300c with the 8 speed zf 8hp45 transmission. The dealer won't change the transmission fluid because they say it's "fill for life". The independent shop I use told me the same thing. Have any of you had this same problem? I bought the car with 70k and tried to have the dealer change the fluid at that time. I'm now at 105k still with original transmission fluid as far as I know.
