Favorite reusable heating pad for lower back?

I've been using the ThermaCare lower back heating pads, but they are expensive and only good for one use. I'd love to save money and be more ecological by finding a reusable heating pad, but there are so many out there to choose from. I'd like one that has a slim profile so I can wear it under my work clothes (so obviously no plug for electricity either). Does anyone have recommendations for ones they love? I'm okay having to microwave a pack every hour or something.
