Rant about being rushed out of the doctors office
Post Body

A few days ago, I (m40) went to my annual physical exam (Kaiser)and it was such a horrible experience. I felt so rushed and unheard. She didn’t even bring up the main issues I’ve been to urgent care dozens of times for (and have taken so many phone and zoom appointments for). If I didn’t bring it up, she wouldn’t have mentioned it. I have literally done CTs, MRIs, blood and urine work (multiple times) to try to find out what’s wrong and she doesn’t bring it up?!!!

You know how you go to a restaurant and you feel like they’re trying to rush you so they can get more people to take your table? It felt like that.

Oh, and at one point, she literally said this, “we’re all gonna die at some point, our job is to delay it for as long as possible”!

I will never see her as my doctor again. I wish there was a way to interview doctors beforehand. I just want to feel heard and seen and not rushed out of the office. I want to know you actually care about me. Are these unrealistic expectations?

I was able to get a phone appointment with someone else a couple of days later and it was a better experience. Is there a way to file a complaint or is this a futile pursuit?

Has anyone experienced this?
