Why does my neck pain & back pain flair up during the daytime yet it goes away at night??

I’m not expecting a specific answer, but does anybody experience the same? I’ve been dealing with SEVERE neck pain the last few months (I’ve never had this, I’m only 25 and it’s making life quite uncomfortable). Is this how this chronic pain stuff works?
