I accidently found a reddit thread written by professionals in medicine about "how to handle opioid patients" that treats all chronic pain patients as addicts that need their meds taken away and it's infuriating.
Post Body

I was looking for info on Reddit about medication side effects etc and first hand experiences when I came across this post by professionals in medicine about " Advice on how to communicate with chronic pain patients " with all only medicine professionals commenting, and it seemed scary. It was from 6 months ago, so still not aware of updated cdc opioid prescription guidelines, etc but wow - it's was truly eye opening.

The replies came off as very self righteous and bigoted. Basically assuming all pain patients are drug seeking addicts. It was really degrading and condescending to patients, IMO.

Has anyone else come across anything like this, on Reddit or in real life? If so, how did you handle the situation?
