I’m considering getting a shower chair. On bad days I have a hard time willing myself to shower because of the toll standing takes so I continuously put off washing my hair even when I need to. (I will still take a bath, I just hate washing my hair in the bath because my hair is dyed and it gets in the water) I was looking at them online, and just seeing everything labeled as help for elder care puts a pit in my stomach. I’m only 18. Why am I having to look into this? I have orthostatic hypertension among other things, but I’ve almost never passed out, but I did last night. Only for a second, but it scared me. Normally, my chest gets heavy and I feel a pulling sensation, my body starts to tingle, then my vision fades. But I didn’t lose my vision, next thing I knew I was disoriented on the floor looking up at my dad. He said I never lost consciousness, but I have no memory of falling, just looking up. I’m scared this might happen in a setting where it’s more dangerous if I’m losing my warning signs.
Edit-I have bought one as well as a holder for my detachable shower head. It should be here Monday. Thank you all for your support <3
For years I just used to sit on your shower floor and have the water hit half on the wall half on me and it was kind a spa experience while also not exerting as much energy
