I'm still figuring out what foods are my triggers, but sometimes when I eat, my heart just POUNDS afterwards. I feel exhausted, my heart is bounding of my chest, and I feel tight chested. Sometimes heartburn happens, but that's not too often unless I eat a certain kind of food. I brought this up to a doctor once, and they just brushed me off and said it's normal for the heart to race a bit when you're digesting. He insinuated that my anxiety disorders play a part in being hyper aware and therefore making it seem worse than it actually is. Infuriating. Google didn't really give me anything either. I have a hard time believing that feeling this awful after eating is normal. It totally wipes me out until it passes. Sometimes I feel like my heart is going to explode. Nothing was detected with the 48 hour heart monitor or ECG, so I know it's not my heart. My bloodwork is always normal. Does anyone else deal with this? Is it really actually normal?
