How to not take other’s opinions of my illness personally?

Post Body

Hey everybody, I’m a teen living with chronic health issues (to be determined the actual specifics) but it affects all areas of my life. Due to this I get a lot of unsolicited opinions about why I’m sick/or questioning if I’m even sick at all. Considering this comes from family it hurts a lot to hear. I know they will never understand my exact experience but I was hoping for a little more empathy, especially as they watch me go through these struggles. Their feelings about my illness aren’t worded well, and it’s affecting my self esteem. I feel so down and disappointed in myself. Any tips on how to cope would be appreciated.
