Real quick - apologies if this isn't allowed here (i didn't see a rule against it?) and I would post it on the Atheism subreddit but it is not allowed.

Anyway. I'm not assuming I have exceptional wisdom to impart on you. I am not here to evangelize or even attempt to persuade anyone of anything. I just - I guess, before my conversion, I hadn't met a single soul who didn't grow up in the church. Moreover, the church-goers I did meet had little interest in actually talking to me about the many arguments used against the faith. They all chalked it up to faith or, even worse, downright said these concerns were "dangerous". If I can open a line of communication between people of different beliefs instead of incessant & hateful arguments we so often see, it'd be nice.

I'm more than happy to respond to respectful questions. I will ignore the rude / disrespectful ones. (Ex: "How can you believe in a God that permits so much evil?" is respectful and understandable. "How could you have been so stupid to fall for it?" is not)
