Logic and reasoning as “idols”

It just occurred to me that everyone actually believes in something. Whether or not theist or atheist, I think atheists believe in logic and reasoning which solely represents a pathway and a guide to life rather than a Creator.
On the contrary, Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) so in that case I wonder how the title is applicable here or is it?
