How to forgive and move on from my mum abusing me?

I don’t want to get into the details of it but my mum beat me over the head (assaulted me using a showerhead) and was verbally abusive throughout my childhood. I want to forgive and move on but I’m struggling to, please do not suggest therapy as that is not possible in my situation. Does anyone have any advice
