And I dont mean in a negative sense, God no, but in the sense of, how do we deal with the fact that so many people have becoming exchristians because of hateful doctrines or dogmas we have preached and stated at the top of our rooftops.
How do we deal with the fact that some of these folks see our God who Is Love, as nothing more then a hateful, bitter, angry diety? because some of the things we teach?.
How could we respond and bring these folks back, without dismissing the grave injustices that have been done to them, because of them have been abused by us, in our churches, it sucks but we gotta accept it.
We as Christians need to come together, and maybe think about some of these doctrines we teach, some of these dogmas, find where they came from, cross reference them with ancient hebrew and greek and the church fathers and especially Jesus, and see if these dogmas, genuinely stick, or are but creations of mankind.
We see a lot on this website, the harm that unfortunately our churches have done on people, but maybe its time, we showed the people the true faith, not birthed out of a judgementalism, nor a superiority complex, nor hate. But a true faith birthed out of love, that desires for all mankind to be loved and cared for, a faith birthed out of empathy for our fellow human being, a faith that does not boast about hell, but a faith that desires and prays that no one shall have the fires of hell lick there feet, and that all men shall be brought to God.
We are suppose to love our neighbor, but have we not forgotten, that the whole of humanity is our neighbor. Have we gotten stuck in dogmas and teachings, and have hardened our hearts to love, that we have become the very thing Jesus preached against. I do not know. But, we must grow in love, that is conclusion I have come to.
