Doesn't Ezekiel 18:20 completely discredit the idea of original sin?
Post Body

I am just curious to those who believe in the original sin doctrine. I don't subscribe to the idea obviously I just find it curious. I have a friend who is Greek Orthodox who tells me that it is primarily a Western ideology (I actually am rather fond of his faith tradition sans silly hats.) Also doesn't the idea of original sin hang entirely on Augustine doctrine and the idea of a literal creationist story?

Full disclosure: I am atheist but I still love to discuss theology with people. I even still go to a church haha.
