I'm moving to central Florida, and it's a toss-up between two jobs at this point. I'll either live between Titusville and Orlando or somewhere close to Lakeland.
I really REALLY love the church I attend right now. I know looks aren't important, but everyone truly is welcome. No one thinks twice about homeless people, or people that are tattooed from head to toe, or cares what you wear. We just care that you are here. This church constantly is working in the community to help people, and there are always outreach events to serve people in the community with no strings attached. My wife went through some really hard times this last year, and this church reached out and had people willing to watch our kids day and night as soon as they heard. Our original home church knew and never really reached out. In other words, I'm looking for somewhere that is willing to be the hands and feet of God as much as possible. I know you aren't saved by works, but that's where I feel led often.
Also, I'm a musician, so I really appreciate the worship being on point - but that's pretty unimportant.
If any of you have any recommendations while I'm negotiating between these two positions, I would appreciate it greatly.
