"Because the Bible says so."
Post Body

When formulating an argument for a particular point of doctrine, is "because the Bible says so" an acceptable explanation? I feel conflicted on this issue, because on the one hand, if the Bible is from God, we should trust what it says. However, "because the Bible says so" is a very unsatisfying answer for me, and I always want to know why the Bible says what it does. What are your thoughts, r/Christianity? Do we need to know the why behind the doctrine, or are there some things that we just need to accept as true?
